What
Ghost Goth is all about looking like... well, a ghost. Tattered white and grey clothing are the staple of this style. Ghost Goths will sometimes wear white or grey contact lenses, often blurring the pupil of the eye, which adds to the eerie look. They often have silvery, grey or white hair.

As far as similar styles go, Ghost Goth has similarities to Ice Goth and Ethereal Goth. Outfits in the latter two styles have been mistakenly labelled as 'Ghost Goth'. If you don't look like you've just crawled out of someone's television screen, it's probably not Ghost Goth...

Interestingly, Oh, Velveteena has tried out Ghost Gothic Lolita...

Style icons
That Gothic chameleon, Adora Batbrat, has rocked a Ghost Goth look.

Some of shironuri artist Minori's looks are very Ghost Goth too.

Fashion inspirations in popular culture
Emily from The Corpse Bride dresses in a very Ghost Goth style, having died in her wedding dress and all.

Baelia, the Grey Faerie from Neopets (*nostalgia*) could also be a Ghost Goth inspiration. You don't have to look as miserable as her, though.

  3. The ghost goth look is beautiful... when I was in high school (1990s) we used to shop for old polyester white wedding gowns and girl's party dresses and dye them with black or purple RIT dye. They would turn out this lovely decayed grey and pale crypt orchid color. Hmmm.... that sounds like a project for spring dresses!

    1. I haven't got to Ethereal Goth yet (the list of styles is here: http://wherefoxessaygoodnight.blogspot.com.au/p/blog-page.html - and the completed ones have *asterisks* surrounding them). But since I hear your interest, I'll get on to it :)
